RE: Offering a Diamond for 5 Emeralds
Since you can get a Fancie with 10 diamonds, or 20 rubies, or 30 emeralds, this sets the exchange rate very clearly at 1 diamond = 2 rubies = 3 emeralds.

I'm not saying you won't find a trading partner for your offer, but good luck.

I would be happy to trade you SIX emeralds for your two diamonds, however.

Considering I've seen most diamonds priced around 6,000 or more and emeralds at 1,500 I think it's a reasonable ask for five since it's a bulk trade. I will think about your offer

RE: Offering a Diamond for 5 Emeralds
When you are trading jewels for Lindens, that is a little different. Who knows what they are worth? They are worth what you can get. You may see a diamond listed for 6000L but that does not mean anyone has ever payed that much.

But when you are trading jewels for jewels, the exchange rate is clear, and money does not enter into it.
