Question 9T Cats traits changed...
Okay so I have 2 9T cats, but when they create offspring their traits seem to change o.O
Below is the Mom/Dad text taken from the babies themselves, and then the info taken directly from the 9T cats:

MOM: Schelly
Rainy DayDream - Periwinkle
Fur: Genesis - Coco IV
Eyes: Genesis Odessey (Shape: Curious | Pupil: Big)
Shade: Natural
Tail: Genesis
Ears: Genesis
Whiskers: Silver (Shape: Guitar)

Schelly
Fur: Rainy DayDream - Periwinkle
Eyes: Crystal Dream (Shape: Mysterious | Pupil: Small)
Shade: Flash
Tail: Bobbed
Ears: Mysterious
Whiskers: Lime Tipped (Shape: Plush)

DAD: Dolfin
Kawaii Sand & Sea - Boy
Fur: Genesis - Pearl
Eyes: Genesis Bronze (Shape: Curious | Pupil: Big)
Shade: Natural
Tail: Genesis
Ears: Genesis
Whiskers: Silver (Shape: Guitar)

Dolfin
Fur: Kawaii Sand & Sea - Boy
Eyes: Teal Crystal (Shape: Curious | Pupil: Small)
Shade: Flair
Tail: Mysterious
Ears: Curious
Whiskers: Teal Tipped (Shape: Plush)

Am I missing something here? Is this just a huge glitch??

RE: 9T Cats traits changed...
Both the Mom and Dad are costume kitties, if you were to remove their costumes, the fur listed (Genesis - Coco IV/Genesis - Pearl) are what their showns furs are. Each parent also has another fur which is hidden. their offspring will have either one of those furs, or one of the hidden furs that the parents have. There are many tips in the forums for breeding techniques for finding which traits each kitty has.

Actually, I think it was MY brain. I thought they were trying to say that one was the parents and one the OS. Now I realize they were looking at the costume traits vs. the real shown traits under the costumes.

And, yes, it's the info on the pedigree page that shows their real traits, Feather. The costume does not pass.

Breeding:
For each possible trait (fur, eye color, etc.), each cat has both a shown and a hidden trait... two slots. Those are the only traits they can give the OS. Each parent passes one of these, so there are 4 possible combinations:

Mom's shown & Dad's shown
Mom's hidden & Dad's shown
Mom's shown & Dad's hidden
Mom's hidden & Dad's hidden

So the OS gets two traits - one from each parent. The more dominant of these becomes the shown trait and the more recessive becomes the hidden trait for the OS. There are charts where you can find the dominance:

Saga Charts: https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/folde...UtaOGx0Q3c

I prefer this one for the traits other than fur & eyes:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1...1164100608

A collection cat like this is basically a starter, with Genesis traits showing (0T). A strategy to help you find what it is hiding is to partner them with a cat who has fairly recessive shown traits. Then you can analyze the OS to see where each trait came from. Doing this will also help you trait up their offspring more quickly.

Unfortunately, the SAGA charts haven't been updated since 2017, which means that you should refer to the forum charts for updated information about all traits.
