Hi Arwen, here it is the pedigree of the pure aby dark chocolate. Can't see more further than that Smile

LOL and it's true, I got an Abby Dark Chocolate back. Makes me wonder how dominate this fur can be.

RE: Scottish Shorthair - Blue & White
Thanks Coverboy for confirming that Smile Here's another one that I tested lower fur. Dominant to Siamese Chocolate Tortie.

RE: Scottish Shorthair - Blue & White
It looks like it Inia, but your Chocolate Tortie hides the Ben Blue so we could assume, the Bengal Blue pushed the Scottish Blue and White. However, I would be surprised if it is dominate to Siamese Chocolate Tortie since we know it's dominate to Abby Dark Chocolate. It will be interesting to know how dominate that fur is.

I assume you know which fur the Tortie hides?

RE: Scottish Shorthair - Blue & White
The Siamese Chocolate Tortie is hidden Tonkinese Blue Mink. (way back in over 400 days pedigree tree ) However, it doesn't matter as the previous pedigree already proved it's dominant to Aby Dark Chocolate which is dominant to Tonkinese Blue Mink Smile

RE: Scottish Shorthair - Blue & White
Ahhh I'm blind again! Thank you for pointing that out. I would then agree with you that it's dominate to the Siamese Choc Tortie since you said it hides the Tonki Blue Mink, and we already shown it was dominate to the Abby Dark Choc Wink.

RE: Scottish Shorthair - Blue & White
Hold your horses!
The Siamese Chocolate Tortie has passed either it's shown or hidden fur, which means that the Scottish Shorthair Blue and White offspring hides either Tonkinese Blue Mink or The Siamese Chocolate Tortie.

There is a fair chance that Scottish Shorthair Blue and White is dominant to Siamese Chocolate Tortie, but we can't know that for certain until we have found the Scot's hidden fur.

RE: Scottish Shorthair - Blue & White
I agree with Reven, at this point the only thing proved conclusively is that Scottish Blue & White is dominant to Aby Dark Chocolate, anything else is an assumption and unproven at this point. Theres a reason why if you look back over the various breeding threads you will see one thing repeated constantly and that is "pull the hid to confirm" as proven with Coverboys own Aby S&P hids can pass unseen for generations, that cat could have hidden 2 much more dominant furs but hides the 3rd more recessive seen on its great grandpa so we cannot assume Inias cat hides the Siamese Tortie, it has to be pulled and proven.
