New traits tend to be released in the main paid for collections. Very occasionally theres been something in a one off but as far as I can recall not released in the SL birthday ones. Of course you can still find the newer ones and if there are any undiscovered ones lurking those can certainly hide in an SLB cat. Its highly unlikely that anything new was added to the trait pool with the release of the SLB cat though.
