RE: Burmilla Blue Shaded
Okay I believe my test proves Burmilla Blue is dominant to Bengal Black.
Test kitty Jasmine (see above) gave Bengal Black kitten. Could someone confirm I interpreted this correctly please?

Aw I think Reven already proved Bengal Black recessive to Burmilla Blue.

RE: Burmilla Blue Shaded
I'll go through your pedigrees and see if we can shed some light on the mystery, Laura

Kiona (Bengal Black) and Gorman (Burmilla blue) had a Burmilla Blue kitten
Gorman passed his dominant fur, and the fur Kiona passed is hidden behind the kitten's Burmilla fur.
We can't be certain what the kitten hides unless we breed the kitten to a recessive fur until he fathers a kitten with a fur that isn't Burmilla Blue.

Kiona and Gorman are also Jasmine's parents, but Jasmine shows Bengal Black from Kiona. Jasmine was bred to Ormond who shows Burmilla Red, and their kitten has Bengal Black fur. This means that Jasmine passed her shown fur, which is Bengal Black.

There is no way we can know for certain what Jasmine hides when we look at this pedigree alone, but Jasmine has had a kitten before

Jasmine is still a Bengal Black, but this time she was bred to Tiger Boy who shows Blue Marble, and their kitten shows Blue Marble.
This means that Grandpa Gorman hides Blue Marble as you suspected, and he passed the hidden fur to Jasmine, who passed it on to her kitten

Unfortunately, nothing is proven yet, and I suggest that you breed the kitten that shows Burmilla Blue to pull his hidden if you haven't already. The day he fathers a Bengal Black kitten is the day he proves that Burmilla Blue is dominant to Bengal Black

Burmilla Blue shown means that Bengal Black or more recessive is hidden.
I don't know for certain what dad hides, but there is a shown Burmilla Black in his pedigree.

I'm in the same boat as you are, Laura. My Jinni and Mathew gave me Hettie with Burmilla Blue fur shown. I have unboxed her to find out what she hides. It can be Bengal Black, or it can also be Burmilla Black or more recessive. Time will tell!

RE: Burmilla Blue Shaded
10/10/16 foxie Cocoa Cream was placed; today 1/26/17 Aussie Dark Choco is placed just dominant to that.

Just in case placement runs in threesome clumps (a new superstition in the making?), I have a foxie cocoa and cream I can pair with someone who has a burmilla blue unless somoen is already doing that one.
