Alright, Cynric is busy paired right now but I paired a related Aussie Dark Chocolate with Balinese Flame Lynx who had babies with Foxie Cocoa Cream under discussion and one is being tested for his recessive. When Cynric is free, he will go with the female Foxie CC.

Kayla Woodrunner, note for you, would you mind using this post to update the Saga project chart, please? The Bali FL + Aussie DC are on the mat.

And woot! Yes a test mating against Foxie Cocoa & Cream will potentially help with placing both of those furs. Smile

Looking forward to seeing what they produce for you. Smile

Loving the cattery! Thank you KittyCatS!

Looking forward to the results from the Aussie Dark Choc Bali Flame pairig as I was told a few months ago that Aussie was recessive to the Flame thus placing it but I have yet to see any proof posted on the forum or via Saga.

RE: New Australian Mist - Dark Chocolate recessives
Autumn.. can you pair or have your paired that AM-DC kitten against a very recessive fur (like Tonk Blue Mink or Aussie Blue Marble, for example)... to find out what the hidden fur is?
From that pedigree we really can not determine anything, as we do not know what furs the parents could be hiding. One parent hid AM-DC, but the other parent is an unknown hidden at this point... so we don't know what the kitten hides either.

If you do a test mating to pull the hidden fur, and it is a fur that falls within the currently known range, then that would be wonderfully helpful. Smile)

And Arwen... if we can get pedigree proofs that the AM-DC is recessive to the Bali Flame, yes, that should place it! Do you recall who might have done those breedings, so as to ask if they will share pedigrees? That would save us all a lot of time and effort if it's already been proven in someone's personal cattery. <3

RE: New Australian Mist - Dark Chocolate recessives
Oh, interesting chart, Autumnsparkles! I see what Happy is saying. Both Foxie Red Mask and Snowshoe Red are known to be dominant t Australian Mist Dark Chocolate so both mom and dad threw their hids. One of them hides the Aussie and the other hides Aussie or something more recessive. Are you going to birth this pretty baby? If so, when you find out the baby's hid, could you post the chart?
