The Cats Who Walk Through Walls
I have just introduced some KittyCats onto a quasi-medieval roleplaying sim that I frequent. (I think cats and roleplay should be a good mix!) The cats walk through things, such as walls. I was asked if I can stop them from doing that. I don't see any such setting. Is there a way to restrict the kitties from playing Kitty Pryde on a roleplay sim?

RE: The Cats Who Walk Through Walls
Kitties respect prims more than they respect mesh. The usual answer is to find their customary squeeze-through points and add an invisible prim barrier there to bolster the wall - one more thing for them to squeeze through. You may not have build rights, but if whomever does could add a prim or two it would help with the problem.

As for myself, I've always admired the way our kitties can wiggle through other dimensions like the cat in Gaiman's Coraline. Personally, I'd think it would be within the range of superstitions that European medievals held about cats.

RE: The Cats Who Walk Through Walls

Yah, its a quantum flux embedded in their DNA matrix.
The preternatural ability to pass through solid objects,
like walls and furniture. Sometimes they will enter a comfy chair,
or sofa and lead you to believe they have left the premises.

When in doubt, look UNDER the couch.

The first KittyCatS I ever owned, Winnow was the name, was able to pass
through a plateglass window and hover 100 feet above the cliff face
in full sleep mode.

If a cat is hovering and asleep over a dangerous precipice, you must
NOT wake up the cat, just try and grab it and head to safety.
If you wake it up, the cat will realize its dire situation and
TRY TO TAKE YOU DOWN WITH IT!

When in doubt, strap on a parachute before attempting rescue.
