Thank you , Aramis, this is helpful. Hope you are also sending this info to Liriel so she can update the Saga Google Docs pages.
It takes a lot of patience to work with these furs, so you have really done us a service here.
Hi Aramis, I am updating the Saga charts with your info, but your Smokey IV proof is inconclusive (What is the Smokey IV hiding? Say for example, Pia could be hiding diamond which could have hit whatever Free is hiding e.g. if Free is hiding bengal black and Pia hiding diamond then of course Pia 10 will show diamond vs bengal black - do you have a pedigree for the Smokey to show what she might be hiding? Thanks so much for the hard work!

That's won't do it. If Smokey IV > Coco IV, and passed Diamond IV, Flame IV or a non-Genesis fur, we would see the tree posted above. We need to see Pia 10 passing Smokey IV with a non-Genesis partner to complete the proof based upon the posted trees.
Sure, whatever... I was giving an EXAMPLE of how the chart was inconclusive and asking for more info.

You asked what the Smokey was hiding. That would not prove anything. If you're going to maintain the charts, you'll want to be sure that followup information you ask for actually helps so you don't have people spinning their wheels and wondering why you're not happy with what they gave you when it was exactly what you asked for.
Tad will you just stop nit-picking please.
Wendi is more than competent and knows exactly what needs to be done so just let her get on with it in peace.
Well, if she takes what the Smokey is hiding, as she asked for, as a proof, then we should all worry that the charts will become meaningless when proof they're wrong comes along, as it will.
I don't think it's picking nits to suggest that she ask for followups which actually help. We depend upon them doing the job properly, and she's not off to a good start. We all make errors .. as I did in my first followup comment; which I removed when I realized I had it wrong.
