Excel or CSV export of Pedigree
Hello,

I am sure I am not the only one but I was wondering if you all are ever going to offer an export button for our kitty cats pedigree. just a copy of the main page of our live cats and our box kitties. I have built some tools to help myself using excel but it is such a pain and hassle to get the data in to it.

I just would like an easy way to get the kitties data (base data that you show on the list page) in to my own tools.

thanks.

I would love that as well! I started taking screenshots of my kitties' pedigrees, now I'm adding parents' names or hidden traits to their names (which I don't like at all -they're kitties!), and some I remember, but it would be awesome to have a first glance of everything that we can download and scribble over (this kitteh has yet to learn to use Excel  )

I'd love it too to be able to make a CSV of XLS download from pedigree...

Thumbs up for that idea!

RE: Excel or CSV export of Pedigree
I have not heard any response. from this so I guess I did not give enough information on this.

Currently I have a workbook that I have to help me match up my kitties keep a log of these match ups and keep track of my boxes. Today I ran in to a flaw of my tracking. The flaw is that by taking a snapshot of the pedigree page that give the Sex, Name, Age, Fur, Eye, and so on. That you can have boxes with the exact same traits but they are two different boxes. Now to fix this I know each box and kitty has an ID. With my 77 Live Cats and my 267 Boxes it is a pain to type in each ID.

I am not asking in the download option to get all of the pedigree of the kitty. I just want the base stats of the kitty that is on the pedigree page and the kitties ID as well.

Thank you.

RE: Excel or CSV export of Pedigree
This request comes up regularly.

As it's been explained to me: anyone doing any serious analysis of their cats using third-party programs, such as Excel, and who is NOT hand-typing the information, is breaking "the rules." (I put it in quotes because I can find no such rules, but they feel such rules exist, somewhere.)

I have a program which can do an export of YOUR cats from the Pedigree. I took it down, at their request, because to provide you with the capability is against "the rules." I didn't mind taking it down mainly because it was a pig since I ripped it out of a larger program I was working on (which I've dropped because they're so opposed to players using automated methods to collect and analyze the genetics of cats they own).

That said, if you're just looking at the Roster page and don't mind that, for instance, the coat is the paint-job and not the genetically dominant coat, you can cut-and-paste the web page into a new Excel spreadsheet, and that works well enough for most people.
