Lightbulb Mega puss cats
I was wondering if Toys for Megas could be made. They seem to be out-casts when it comes to play things.

RE: Mega puss cats
I would love to see he toys blown up to Mega sized. I dont see why they cant just use existing toys and make them bigger. Assuming the land impact of them does not go thought the roof it seems like it be a fun idea!. Special the basket and scratching post.

RE: Mega puss cats
A lot of mesh is modifiable. I just went to the KC store and right clicked on the scratching post -- it says modifiable. You might try clicking edit, then hold down the control key. If little wite square pop out around the object, pull them out until the object is the desired size.

I don't have either a laundry basket or scratching post so can't test it to see if it can be done.

The scratching posts are NO MOD as it says on the sign in the main store, and it says in Edit they cannot be modified. I don't know what Scratchi N Play post you found that was modifiable, but I have never seen one.

It would require a modified script to detect and size for Megas, and KC would need to sell just a Mega scratchin' post for that, at another $390, and no mod and no copy of course. I own 3 of the mega-excluded no copy no mod scratch n play posts. Why, I have no idea, since most of my pets are Megas now. At least I can sell my Mega-Discriminating posts at a discount to non Mega owners.

I expect they don't make a Mega scratching post because the Mega owner market is small compared to the other sizes. It seems simple enough to do though, they just wouldn't sell thousands of them.
And, do you want a scratching post the size of a tree in your yard? I would hide it in the forest, or put a rotating foglight on the top. Smile

RE: Mega puss cats
I clicked the one on display at the store and the modify button was clicked. Like I said, I did not own one so could not test it.

However, I did talk to a friend today who does own both scratching posts and laundry baskets and she said they are both no modify. She also said the little cats come rocketing out of hte laundry baskets so she didn't think it would be good if a mega came out that fast.

While htere is a small # of megas compared to other sizes, there is a very much larger pool of mega collectors than for other sizes that include nonbreeders and giftgivers. I know at least two people who only collect megas. So there's definitely a market for goods that fit megas.

Most people sell modifable kittybeds because of this. Also nowadays I get mesh gacha products which are transer/modifiable so they can be resized even when they have sits in them like a truck I got. Only problem is, if you resize, prims used increases with size. It's just weird not to do a mega size even if it costs more in prims since they are so popular even among nonbreeders.

But it seems the pool of people who buy interactive KC items is small because it took me a while to find a friend who actually owned a few. So KC may not put a lot of r&d in this area. Still, might be good to bring up this idea again in summer when it's less busy and the website stuff is all settled. KC did a major update recently on the cats with the hud and new poses and interactivity built into the cats -- it's cool there are more abilities actually built into the cats. So if that's where there r&d in scriptwriting is going, I am all for it.

YES! Let them rocket!

Heck, do a quick radar and have them rocket straight at the nearest avatar.

It should kick them half-way to the next sim!

Mu-ha-ha-ha!

You're evil, Tad, just evil, lol. And I know people who would line up to buy the mega rocket launcher, lol.

Pats my mega on the head... don't worry, honey, we aren't launching you.

RE: Mega puss cats
Kayla, I am with Cat Protective Services. I am afraid I am going to haVe to confiscate your megapuss!

I would love to see megapuss toys. Simply blowing up a toy though is not enough. It has to be reenforced so that the mega nails do not shred it, as of right now the material of the actual toy is made of material for smaller cats. Thus, if you simply made the toy larger, a mega would destroy it in 2 seconds, if that, and there will be a lot of angry people...

AKA, megas are not scripted to play with the toys.....
