Hi! I've been taking care of my friend April's easter kitties (and she gave me some of her ebony silvers to play with), since she's too busy to spend a lot of time on breeding and such, and I found kind of a mystery. I've shown it to a few people, who have been unable to figure it out. I thought I'd post all the info here, so people can take a look.
April has 4 easter kitties, and I was trying to figure out what eyes they hide. Here's what I've found.
1. Donaghy hides Fire

5. Where the heck did Crystal Dream come from since Hilda hides Crystal Sea and Donaghy hides Fire? Saga lists Crystal Dream as dominant to Crystal Sea. (this comment was added to by Hellcat)

I've heard some theories. I personally have no idea.

4) Incorrect. Hilda hides Crystal Sea OR BETTER (odds are it's more recessive, but we don't know).
5) Hilda. Crystal Sea must be dominant to Crystal Dream and the comment at the bottom of Saga's charts about it being dominant must be incorrect.
If Hilda doesn't hide Crystal Sea, then where did Clark Gable get it? Rae hides Ice crystal. Ice crystal can't hide behind Odyssey Rainbow.

2. Rae DOES hide Ice Crystal, since Paint can not hide it and it can only get one trait from each parent. Ice Crystal cannot hide behind Ody Rainbow. Since there is no lineage further back it makes it the eye that is hidden. If more lineage was in play then it would be Ice Crystal or better.
4. Rae hides Ice Crystal and Hilda hides Crystal Sea
5. Since you didn't post a picture of what offsprings from Donaghy that made you think he hides fire. From these pictures Jaffa hides Azure and Donaghy hides the Crystal Dream. So any fire babies you have from him also hides Crystal Dream.
I'd also send these to Saga so she can update her charts.

Yes, I forwarded my NC to saga inworld, and showed Liriel Garnet, too. Liriel looked at the boxes themselves. The first picture shows the Donaghy fire part 1. Donaghy hides Fire

From (4) Hilda and Rae both hide Crystal Sea OR BETTER. We know one hides exactly Crystal Sea, and the other hides Crystal Sea OR BETTER. Carol Lombard does not help us determine which.
From (1) and (5) Candyce and Hilda both hide Crystal Dream and the comment at the bottom of Saga's chart is wrong.

Equi is looking into it further. But from what I can tell, the first pedigree shows absolutely that Donaghy hides Fire, and the last shows absolutely that he hides the Dream (and she rezzed out *both* of those boxes in-world so I could see the traits and the pedigrees for myself, they are exactly as shown on the gyzo links) ... so something isn't right. I suspect the 'shown' fire on donaghy from the first pedigree link is a glitch of some sort, and STRINGS is going to breed Donaghy again with an Ody Rainbow to see what eye actually pulls.
The ONLY other possibility that I see is that somehow the 'special' OS boxes violated the known genetics laws and got an eye hiding that's not from either parent.
