Clothing missing from in world info about KittyCatS - Aisling MacMoragh - 03-27-2016 09:48 PM

Please put back the feature in the in world info about cats that showed the clothes that cats were wearing, like which collar, hat, shirt or vest was on the cat. I have had many occasions to use that and miss not having it. I just bought several new cats that had collars and wanted the details but can't see them.

i miss this aswell. if i see somebodys cat wearing a nice collar, i'd like to know where they got it without having to ask them! was much better when the kittys simply told you Tongue

There is a limit to the number of characters one may emit to in-world chat in a single message. If you look, for many cats, the details for the parents are cut off when exceeding this limit.

Adding more information about the cat means more information about the parents is lost.

The information can be sent in two or more messages. But that means the information about the cat will scroll off your screen if you do not have the chat window open; forcing everyone to open that window. It also means other messages can (and often will) intersperse between the two; and it means you'll need to scroll back looking for the information since it wont fit within the window.

A solution might be to change the 'info' button to two buttons. One showing the cat and all its details, and the other showing an overview of the parents. But this has the trade-off of adding a button (another limited resource), or sub-menu, adding complexity to the user interface.

Another might be to add the information to the Pedigree Tree View web page, increasing its size and complexity.

So, the question is, to add more textual information, which trade-off suits the most users.
