Hey there,

I bred my two male kittens that was questioned to be hiding the surprise sparkle eye

The kittens turned out to have ExBreeze eyes, so i bred them with females with OdyBell to see if suprise sparkle would come through
as mentioned above in previous replies this is the turn out:

I will continue to breed the kittens if they ARE hiding, but this time with opaline just to test that menthod

I am a little confused as to why you bred the exotic breeze kitties with Odyssey Bellini kitties as both Exotic Breeze and Surprise Sparkle are recessive to Odyssey Bellini.
In order to check if the Exotic Breeze kitties hide Surprise Sparkle you need to use an eye already proven recessive to Surprise Sparkle which would be Exotic Journey and everything below it in the charts. Opaline will be a good choice for that.

The first OB test kitty gave OB as would be expected, the second gave Exotic Breeze meaning the OB threw the hidden Tranquility or better. Had by chance that cat shown Surprise Sparkle we'd be asking you to check for hidden Tranquility.
When checking hids its always better to use a known recessive rather than rely on both cats passing hid.

Good luck with the Opaline tests with luck one of the cats will pass its hidden for you Smile

So I threw a Destiny Rivers with a Surprise Sparkle just because and got this.

the two exb kittens i got from a surprise sparkle and exbreeze didnt pass the eye with opaline, may need afew goes i'll keep you updated

The kitties are indeed stubborn, it took me over 6 months to get a pedigree for Kaylas Library because the 2 cats refused to pass shown at the same time so every test kitty hid the wrong eye. But stick with it, they will give it up eventually.

Reece unfortunately pedigree links expire after 30 minutes so we are unable to see any of the pedigrees you posted apart from the prntscr one.

Surprise Sparkles range is currently Recessive to Odyssey Bellini and dominant to Exotic Journey, your pedigree confirms dominant to Galaxy Star. If you want to test further any of the eyes in that range would be a good one to try with her before she retires.

Surprise Sparkle is recessive to Exotic Breeze

I know several people were working on this proof. I finally got some babies to pop the answer.

It's a straightforward proof: I mated a Surprise Sparkle boy with an Exotic Breeze girl, and they produced (a number of) Exotic Breeze showing kittens. When one of their offspring was mated with a recessive-eyed Galaxy Star, it pulls the hidden which is the Surprise Sparkle.

This cuts the range by a bit less than half. Surprise Sparke lies between Exotic Breeze and Exotic Journey. I am testing versus Tranquility next.
