A single feeding crock works with multiple mats which can each be set differently.
You don't have to buy two complete servers.
Just set out more than one feeding mat.

Set mat #1 for food only and 'my cats' and choose the geographic option you prefer of parcel or region/sim

Set mat #2 for food AND milk and 'group only' and again choose your geographic option of parcel or region/sim. Use the Edit Mode on this second mat and set it to the Milk Group too.

Both mats will draw food from the single crock and only the second mat will draw milk and dispense it to the kitties in the milk group. They can even be in the same place. Just be sure that the group is set on the milk only kitties and check it whenever the cats are rezzed from inventory or from cattery.

Sad That workaround only works inworld. The problem is how to do that in the cattery.

Exactly. In the cattery, we need to create a "geography" concept; not only for milk and food, but for a number of other reasons, including stock organization and management, and even allowing users to control pairings without the need for using the "partner" facilities.

One form of "geography" would be to take the familiar "folders" concept, which could be renamed to something more appropriate to cats. This is a one-to-many mapping. Another would be a one-to-one mapping where a specified quantity of food or milk can be allocated to a specific cat. The only other mapping would be many-to-many and I can't see a use for that when it comes to supply-to-cat mappings.

At present, the workaround would be to use ALT accounts to segregate stock in the Cattery. While that works, requiring no programming effort on the part of the KittyCatS, it's cumbersome, error-prone, and does not scale well.

Correction: a many-to-many mapping would allowing sharing stock (for breeding purposes), and allowing modelling 'group access' food and milk.
