RE: Discovering hidden traits in kittens started using recessive traits!! - Morgan Trevellion - 05-15-2014 08:36 AM As a new kitty lover just starting out i found this thread very helpful. I really appreciated seeing how it should work. I would love to see more examples actually. Unfortunately it never works for me lol thank you RE: Discovering hidden traits in kittens started using recessive traits!! - Ethereal Hurricane - 05-16-2014 04:41 PM (05-14-2014 06:15 PM)fabioazevedo Oh Wrote: I say this because 80% of the kittens started, do not bring new traits. It was useful for the topic. I took the liberty to expose the results of my tests in kittens Easter, just to confirm the numbers. I opened 54 kittens Easter to test them. Below, the results obtained so far. List of all the hidden traits in 'Easter kittens' tested! Note: Traits with a signal '+' means that need to be retested, because hiding something equal or more recessive. Note: Traits with a signal '?' means that have not yet shown the hiding. 1(OcicatCinamon,ExoticTreasure,+tShorty,eMof,w2Tone,wMyst) 2(PaniePlatinum,BlueBeach,+tFussy,eBigbb,+wWhite,wMyst) 3(ChateauSlate,18Gold,+tFussy,eBigbb,wBlac,wBobo) 4(fur?,Passion,tBigbb,eBigbb,wBlack,+wLigWav) 5(AbyssinianBlackSilver,OdyCarnival,Flair,+tMyst,eMyst,+w2Ton,+wMyst) 6(PanieEbony,eyes?,tBigbb,eRoundedFold,w2Ton,wMyst) 7(BengalSorel,eyes?,tMyst,eCurio,wBlack,wFrazzle) 8(AmeBlue&White,Bronze,+tPosh,+eOdyN1,+wWhite,+wFrazzle) 9(BurmeseBlue,OdyFire,+tCurio,+eMof,+wWhite,wStub) 10(BurmeseFlame,eyes?,tChop,+eMof,w?,w?) 11(AmericanBrown,Azure,Flair,tMyst,eOrf,wWhite,+wMyst) 12(AmericanBrown,OdyBellini,Ilumine,tMyst,eCurio,wWhit,+wMyst) 13(AmericanRed&White,OdyBurst,Ilumine,tBobo,eBobo,wWhite,wMyst) 14(fur?,MorningGlory,Gliter,tMystious,eCurio,wBlack,+wPlus) 15(PandiePlatinum,RaibowPrism,+tBigbb,eCurio,w2Tone,+wMyst) 16(MaiSilv,Serenit,tPlus,eBobo,+w2Ton,wMyst) 17(ChateauPink,Fire,+tCurio,eVampire,wBlack,+wPlus) 18(OcicatBlack,ChangLeaf,tMysterious,eRounded,wWhite,+wMyst) 19(AmericanRed&White,+CrystalClear,tail?,ears?,wWhite,+wFrazzle) 20(BurmeseSable,ExoticSean,+tCurio,eMysterious,wDarkChocolate,+wPlush) 21(fur?,DoubleDipFlora,tMysterious,+eRounded,wBlack,+wPlus) 22(BalineseChocolate,PinkIce,tail?,eCurio,wChocolate,wCurio) 23(AmericanSilver,ExoticTreasure,Flair,+tFrisk,eMysterious,wBlack,w?) 24(fur?,Azure,+tCuri,eRoundedBooBoo,wWhite,wFussy) 25(AmericanSilver,Passion,tSASSY,+eRounded,wWhite,+wMyst) 26(BengalSilver,TapestryRoyale,Flaiw,tSASSY,eRounded,wBlondStreak,wMyst) 27(OcicatEbony,Fire,tFrisk,eCurio,wBlack,wStubb) 28(AbyssinianBlue,OdyCrystalRose,tSASSY,eCuri,wWhit,wMyst) 29(ChatauGray&White1,GrapeIce,tBentBooBoo,eOdN2,w2Tone,wCurio) 30(AmericanBlue,TapestryHarvesty,tSASSY,eMysterious,wDarkChocolate,w?) 31(+FoxieSalt,Fire,Gliter,+tShorty,eRondedFold,wWhite,+wMyst) 32(RussianBlack,+OdyBellini,tMyst,eRoun,+wWhite,wFrazzle) 33(fur?,Grotto,+Gliter,+tBooboo,eOdyBooboo,wBlack,wMyst) 34(fur?,MintJulep,Flair,tMysterious,eBigBooBoo,wDUSKY,w?) 35(BengalSorel,PinkIce,+tFrisk,+eSf,wDUSKY,+wMyst) 36(fur?,Canario,tBigBooBoo,+eSf,wDUSKY,+wMyst) 37(BengalCooper,eyes?,tChopChop,eVampire,+wLatte,+wMyst) 38(ChateauCream2,OdyKaleidoskope,tCurio,eMysterious,+wLatte,+wMyst) 39(SiameseSeal,GrapeIce,tBigBooBoo,ePsf,wBlondStreak,+wMyst) 40(BengalSilver,DoubleDipFlora,tCurio,eMysterious,wChocolate,w?) 41(AmericanBlue,OdyCarnival,tMyst,eMyst,w2Tone,+wPlus)E 42(RussianBlack,MidnightSky,tBentBooBoo,eMysterious,wBlack,wMyst) 43(fur?,Passio,Ilumine,tPlush,eOdN2,w2Tone,+wMyst) 44(ChateauCream&White2,MidnightSky,tCurio,eOdN2,w?,+wPlush) 45(BengalSorel,eyes?,+Flair,tPlush,eMysterios,wBlack,+wMyst) 46(BurmeseBlue,OdySublime,+Gliter,tFrisk,eRondedFold,wBlack,wMyst) 47(SiameseBlue,OdyFire,Flair,+tFrisk,+eRounded,wBlack,wMyst) 48(AbyssinianCream,KeyLime,Ilumine,+tCurio,eRoundedFold,wBlack,wMyst)E 49(AbyssinianBlue,Passio,+tShort,eBigBooBoo,wBlack,wLightWave)E 50(ChateauCream&White2,BeachBlue,+tCurio,eBooBoo,wBlack,wMyst)E 51(AmericanBrown,TapestryHarvest,Ilumine,tSwanky,+eMof,wBlack,wOdysseFrazzWave) 52(AmericanBlueTabby,TapestryHarvest,+tFrisk,+eSF,w2Tone,+wSwanky) 53(ChateauPink,Azure,+tMyst,eRoundedFold,+w2Tone,+wLightWave) 54(AbyssinianCream,Pewter,tBentBooBoo,eBooBoo,wWhite,+wSwanky) To date, 9 of 54 kittens, show new traits. We have so far 17% of kittens with new traits, and 83% of kittens, with old traits. Two more kittens with new traits, we have 80%, as mentioned. Still much to be tested. RE: Discovering hidden traits in kittens started using recessive traits!! - Kayleigh McMillan - 05-23-2014 04:15 PM O.O wow that are many kittens and I thought I had a fairly big cattery
RE: Discovering hidden traits in kittens started using recessive traits!! - MsCasey Baily - 05-24-2014 01:01 PM Saying 80% of your kittens would have been fine, but making a general statement isn't accurate. To show what I mean, I have 8 easter cats and from them have one with a sassy tail and one with dusky whiskers as recessives (from what is apparent so far) that is 25%. At Valentines Day I did 10 and had nothing new and exciting so 0%. You just don't have a large enough data pool to make the statement as a fact for Kitty Cats in general. RE: Discovering hidden traits in kittens started using recessive traits!! - Kayleigh McMillan - 05-24-2014 02:29 PM 100% of my kitties do not listen to me but hey what is new with cats
RE: Discovering hidden traits in kittens started using recessive traits!! - fabioazevedo Oh - 05-24-2014 03:09 PM I talked about 80%, not good. I tested: 40 kittens in haloween 2013 48 kittens christmas, 48 kittens Valentines 54 kittens Easter. I know well what I'm talking about. Who knows some statistics, should know that, 10 kittens, or kittens 8, as you tested, is not for analysis. It is an incorrect research. To get accurate data, need to test large numbers of kittens. So, anyone who test more than 50 kittens, have plausible results to be discussed here. Any survey has a margin of error, for more or for less. I showed my results so far. You can do this? Would you have done the tests correctly? So yes, I have evidence to confirm the 80% of kittens, having nothing new. Thanks again by lifting this issue in this topic. You helped to enrich this topic. You could tell us their techniques to find the traits? RE: Discovering hidden traits in kittens started using recessive traits!! - Ethereal Hurricane - 05-24-2014 03:51 PM There is no real technique to find new traits, you simply must be lucky enough to have a cat with new traits, and use deep recessive traits to pull it. The majority of the people in kittycats can't afford to purchase 54 cats every release, which is the ONLY limiting factor for finding new traits. For you though, I'll put it into simple terms. Ultimate New Trait Discovery Method, by Ethereal Hurricane: Get Credit Card, buy 100k Lindens. Buy a ton of cats. Use your most recessive traits on the new starters. Post your findings for every single one of them in Kittycats Addicts group chat. Hopefully profit. PS. I'm not trying to slam you or anything, but you're claiming this is your method, when it isn't. Most older kittycats breeders all know of this method. Anyone trying to make money with cats knows of this method. It's nothing new, I'm sorry. I'm not sure if its a language barrier, and I get the point of the post, but to me it feels like subtle boasting on your part. RE: Discovering hidden traits in kittens started using recessive traits!! - Kayleigh McMillan - 05-24-2014 04:03 PM Yes it is indeed no rocket science I just never have so many starters running let alone feeding them all and their OS-ers and ... |
